«Зоо-торчок»/Zoo-Head – впечатления
Если говорить о хорошем:
живописно (насколько возможно в рамках фильма) показано безрадостное дно бытия торчка, стремительно теряющего остатки человеческого облика;
неординарный подход к лечению наркозависимости с нестандартной идеей в основе;
не сказать, чтобы у актеров были так уж глубоко прописаны роли, но с тем, что было, они справились достойно.
Концовка может напомнить «Бойцовский клуб», но здесь это преподнесено в более интересном ракурсе. Скажем так: даже отъявленный торчок может в глубине души изыскать ресурс любви к себе и обрести надежду на спасение. Возможно. Потому что не факт, что в концовке Чарли еще жив Ну ведь правда нечего было жрать в таких количествах вещества.
К минусам нужно отнести явно ограниченный бюджет, следствием чего стали скромные спецэффекты и не менее скромные интерьеры. Кроме того, кажется сомнительным, что Чарли подсел на наркоту лишь потому, что над ним издевался отец. У многих нерадужные отношения с родителями, но не все же начинают, хмм, зоотировать. Тенденция представлять наркоманов (алкоголиков) жертвами плоха, так как жертвы не они, а их родные и близкие, и государство, вынужденное поддерживать на плаву людей, в лучшем случае, не особо полезных, в худшем – социально опасных. В общем… не будьте, как Чарли!
«Зоо-торчок»/Zoo-Head – сюжет
Животные и зоопарки здесь не причем. Речь в фильме пойдет о наркоше по имени Чарли. Парень давно подсел на иглу, а с недавнего времени еще и начал зоотировать, то есть принимать наркотик зоотроп. Он обладает способностью стирать воспоминания, что необходимо Чарли, ведь парень постоянно страдает от кошмаров о своем жестоком отце.
Жизнь торчка Чарли вполне устраивает, но не устраивает сотрудника социальных служб, куда Чарли регулярно заявляется за пособием по безработице. Тот считает, что парню пора завязывать с веществами и найти приличную работу. Для этого он направляет Чарли на экспериментальный курс лечения наркозависимости, предлагаемый корпорацией «Инфинити» («Бесконечность»). Но… в процессе лечения, как ни странно, что-то идет не так. Чарли обнаруживает, что застрял во временной петле, вынужденный переживать один и тот же день снова и снова. Что хуже, с каждым разом этот день становится все более путаным и сюрреалистичным. Мало того, в этот ужас втягивается девушка Чарли и его лучший друг…
